I have landed on the beach! Wow what an exciting trip that was. My flight from Montreal to Mexico was so smooth and easy. Watched a movie got two meals because i have to eat, and slept a little. But what a mess at Mexico City airport. No one knew what was going on and where to put oversize luggage, then you have to wait for your gate till the last minute. Once you get your gate number you are like alright lets go, but no, there are 10 different #75. An a, b,c,d,e,....... and so on... so you are waiting again till you figure that out where to go. Then they call you in to another waiting room where you have a lady with a microphone announcing the number of the buses that you need to chase after to get your plane. I was loving it it was like we were either at an action or a game show. The winner is who ever hears and figures out whats going on and where to go.
Once i got to Sayulita everything was ok. The town is beautiful and full of excitement with the up coming event. Ran into the Boos Man (Chris Parker) from SUPracer right away and got invited to a welcoming party. Once I dropped my bags off and checked out our Team Canada house which is amazing. Dan Michaluk and I had a great time meeting up with all the other racers from Team Italia, Spain, Suis. Aussies and South Africans!
I was so excited that I did not get too much sleep but over the week I'm sure I can calm down a bit. Well I'll have to for the races.
Check in for more updates soon! Olà!
